If you are coming from, or have recently travelled in, South America or sub-Saharan Africa you must present a certificate of vaccination against Yellow Fever upon arrival in Malaysia. Recommended vaccine for visiting Sarawak: Malaria prophylaxis is strongly recommended.

Airport Taxi coupon counters are located at the arrivals level. One way taxi fares from the airport are fixed. Purchase a coupon at the taxi counter and proceed to the taxi stand outside the terminal.
Transportation within Kuching
Getting around the town is easy. In general, taxis and car rentals are easily available. In Kuching, “Sampan” or boat services are available on the iconic Sarawak River.

The major bus line servicing the city and suburban areas is City Public Link (CPL). Buses are air-conditioned.
All taxis in Kuching are fitted with meters and can be hailed at designated taxi stands or booked through phone.
