Equality and diversity at ATBC Kuching

Equality statement

We will strive to create a conference environment which is not only free from discrimination, but celebrates and values diversity. We are committed to ensuring that each person, regardless of heritage or personal circumstances, will have the opportunity to give of their best and be appropriately recognized for their contribution.

Equality & Diversity at UNMC and ATBC2018

ATBC2018 will embrace the diversity and cultural richness of all peoples and communities, including conference delegates and all those involved in hosting and organising the event. We aim to ensure that everyone experiences a sensitive, caring and inclusive environment during their time in Kuching at the conference and associated events. Our diversity commitment aligns to our strong sense of social responsibility and our belief that promoting diversity will enhance the experience of all conference delegates.

We strongly encourage participation all groups of people, including those irrespective of gender, sexuality, ethnic and geographical origin, religion, cultural and language backgrounds.

The University of Nottingham is an Athena SWAN member. The Faculty of Science at UNMC is central to driving forward with improvements in gender equality, diversity and inclusion, particularly in the Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Medicine (STEMM) disciplines.
